Kakistocrat is an illustrated lecture that expands on themes and source materials from Saude’s film Every Primitive Space Commune, considering the moments of utopian possibility in in dystopian narratives and comparing insurrectionary and anarcho-communist approaches to visioning utopian futures with political science fiction authors including Ursula K. Leguin, Kim Stanley Robinson, and Iain M. Banks. Kakistocrat was commissioned for the exhibition Unknown Knowns at the Levinsky Gallery, University of Plymouth.
