Black Cat Film consists of three sections of alternating screens of text gleaned from song lyrics. 1930’s blues considerations of Hoodoo folk magic practices and omens, the Beastie Boys, radical union songs from the Industrial Workers of the World’s Little Red Song Book (1923 edition) and Janet Jackson combine to locate the black cat as a symbol of both superstition and anti-capitalist sabotage.
